The reporter is a youthful JONO COLEMAN, the location is an Italian restaurant in Sydney’s Leichhardt (NOT in Melbourne, as suggested in the intro) and the lineup is MARK & WENDY with JANE MARKEY, JANE TURNER, KIM TRENGOVE and DAVID PLEDGER. (The girl in the fabulous striped number is Globos costume maker KAREN WEBSTER. Wendy’s incredible red cocktail dress, however, was designed and made by GRAHAM LONG.) THE GLOBOS, a musical comedy cabaret group, was founded in Melbourne in 1980 by MARK TREVORROW and WENDY DE WAAL. The group mimed old records and commercials, in a loving and hilarious recreation of early Australian TV pop shows, and then recorded (and mimed!) their own material.
